General John Buford
Crafted from reclaimed wood of the historic oak Witness Tree that once stood near Schmucker Hall on the grounds of the Lutheran Seminary, each Gettysburg Sentinels piece carries a powerful connection to the past. On July 1, 1863, Union General John Buford used the cupola of Schmucker Hall to oversee and direct the opening movements of the Battle of Gettysburg—making this wood a true remnant of history.
